Our Story

L & J Entertainment was born out of hustle, creativity, and an unshakable love for music. Founded in Kansas City by Malik “LeekBITE” Miles and Jalil “Jaii Ache” Salaam, L&J started with two young visionaries who saw a gap in the live music scene—too many independent artists with talent, and not enough platforms that truly respected the grind it takes to break through.

What began with a few shows quickly grew into a full-service production company after the success of our breakout event, Phantom Pesos & Friends—a First Friday KC showcase that turned heads, packed rooms, and launched a new era for our scene.

Since then, we’ve grown into a multi-layered operation, offering professional-level event curation with street-level execution. We’ve helped artists like Phantom Pesos, Jaii Ache, LeekBITE, TheBIGSuede, Yocelyn Ali, and more step into the spotlight with custom visuals, promo campaigns, and real crowd engagement.
